Tabalyst Report
Interactive HTML reports and JSON profiles from your files, for CSV, Excel, JSON and JSONL.
Tabalyst Products
Tabalyst is an open-source, local-first toolkit for understanding structured data. Tabalyst Report is the product to start with. The tools and products around it complete it, and each one says where it stands.
Tabalyst Report reads a CSV, Excel, JSON or JSONL file on your machine and writes two things: an interactive HTML report for people and a structured JSON profile for your code. It is the first product of the toolkit and the one this site documents in depth.
Interactive HTML reports and JSON profiles from your files, for CSV, Excel, JSON and JSONL.
Tabalyst Report is built on a shared engine. The tools below expose parts of it, and the other products extend the toolkit.
Tabalyst Inspect, Tabalyst Scan and Tabalyst Sample: control how a file is read, describe every field, draw a sample.
Realistic synthetic datasets for tests, demos and teaching. In beta, not published yet.
Guided, interactive investigation of your data.
A product is announced here only when it is real. Tabalyst is in beta: commands and JSON formats may still change between versions.
